On 3 June, Volodymyr Trylis and Ihor Abramiuk, researchers of the Institute of Hydrobiology, participated in the International Workshop «Field Survey on chemical and biological analysis and the hydro-morphological description of the sampling sites in Ukraine» on Preparation for Field Survey organized by the European Union Water Initiative for the Eastern Partnership (EUWI + 4 EaP).

The seminar was devoted to the study of European methods of sampling of water and bottom invertebrates, as well as the analysis and processing of data to determine the reference conditions and establish the boundaries of classes in the methods of ecological classification of water bodies.

The workshop was carried out for hydrobiologists responsible for biological monitoring, data analysis and assessment of the ecological status of surface waters.

During the seminar, its participants were acquainted with the presentations of European experts Kristina Schaufler, Horst Zornig and Georg Wolfram, and participated in practical field survey on the river Irpin.
